It is also very famous for its cuisine, as the diversity in its geography means it offers nearly endless species of plants, fruits, and animals available for consumption. In terms of history, Peru is the land of the Incan Empire, with Cusco as its capital, and Machu Picchu as its most sacred location - known worldwide. Peru also holds important heritage from the African Peruvian community, as well as the Andean and Amazon Rainforest native cultures, Chinese and Japanese immigrants, all mixing together to create the dynamic Peruvian society as we know it today.
