Every program we create is unique - built around your goals and learning objectives for students. We work directly with schools, universities, teachers, and faculty so no two programs are identical in nature. Every faculty-led trip is built using our tried and true process resulting in an authentic, educational, and value-packed experience for you and your students.

Step 1: Dream It

STARTING THE CONVERSATION

Every program starts with a conversation to learn more about your priorities, ideas, and learning objectives to help us craft your free custom proposal. Some of the questions we ask in our initial conversation include the following:

Participants: Does this program target specific students in an academic major, specific grade, or language track?
Programming & Experiential Learning: Do you any specific site visits or must-see/do activities? Is a service project important?
Academic Requirements: Do you have specific required activity as a part of your syllabus or curriculum? Is this program connected to a specific course/major/program of study?
Time, Destination, & Duration: When would you like this program to happen? Is there a specific duration you had in mind? Do you have a specific destination in mind or are you open to any locations that fit with the learning objectives?

Within two weeks of the initial conversation you’ll receive a full proposal with costs, program dates, activities, learning objectives, program inclusions, and an overview of logistics. Step 2: Promote It

MARKETING YOUR PROGRAM

Did you know at some schools and universities that faculty and administrators spend countless hours building faculty-led programs that don’t run due to under enrollment? That’s why after your program has been created and approved, we’ll help you promote and share your program with as many prospective students as possible. Step 3: Prepare It

PRE-DEPARTURE, ORIENTATION & EXPECTATIONS

Incredible experiences abroad shouldn’t be a headache. That is why we manage all program-related details in preparation for your program abroad that includes registration and handle all program management. Our domestic and international teams coordinate trip logistics, reservations and even share helpful cultural resources so students can maximize their experiential learning abroad.

We take care of all the details too, such as communication with participants, collecting allergy information, and special meal arrangements. Several weeks before departure, we also host a pre-departure meeting to review the final itinerary, health & safety guidelines, and ground rules & expectations.

Step 4: Lead It

AUTHENTIC, FUN, EDUCATIONAL, SAFE

We’re a team of educators and travel experts that know how effectively and efficiently sequence an itinerary for an educational, holistic experience. We only work in countries we call home, our programs aren’t bus tours — they’re authentic immersion trips in solidarity with our local partners. Some of the things we always have in mind are:

Authentic Immersion: We live where we work and maintain close partnerships across industries and fields. Many of our programs also intentionally incorporate service learning that is done responsibly.
Education: From the moment you arrive in-country until you depart you and your students will always be have the support of your local EdOdyssey Educator, who will accompany you manage all logistics and travel plus serve as your local guide sharing their own culture, experiences and country with you. Your EdOdyssey Educator will lead group reflections to process the experience, engage students and facilitate intentional and fun cultural learning.
Value-Packed: We value education at all costs and don’t believe in surprise fees. Our Program Fees are all inclusive so students and teachers can focus on the experience. Learn more about EdOdyssey program inclusions.
Inclusive & Accessible: Travel should be part of every students education and we work hard to keep our Program Fees affordable for as many travelers as possible.
