An avid daydreamer, Stefano was born and grew up in Rome.
He has a deep love for nature as the place of harmony and contemplation that feeds his soul and inspires his life. After getting a degree in law (master's equivalent) from “La Sapienza University” in Rome he has been working for more than 20 years in the development and management of International Education Programs. He managed the start-up and implementation of two new Study Abroad schools in Italy, before working for almost 8 years as Director of Study Abroad Programs in the U.S. at SNHU and at CCU.
He believes that exposing and letting the students engage with cultural diversity develops “global awareness” in terms of social responsibility and alternative perspectives to those proposed and sometimes imposed by the system. This kind of opportunity can encourage more critical and independent thinking in the new generations and let the students develop other important global competencies in terms of transferable skills (intercultural communication, problem-solving, etc.).
Stefano spends his free time traveling with his family out off the beaten tracks and hiking in any season. The “Slow Food” philosophy, geopolitics interest, and Truth in terms of good and justice are the other passions of a life in motion!
A Fun Fact About Stefano:
I'm able to dream with open eyes!
Stefano’s Favorite Travel Memory:
One of my favorite travel memories was meeting our semester students in Ecuador during an exploration visit. It was surprising to see how well they had adapted and how much they were enjoying the local culture.
