David’s professional international education career began with building an exchange program with the former Soviet Union. From there, he led student programs in countries ranging from Indonesia to Kenya to Estonia. The program with Estonia was the first of its kind with a former Soviet Republic.
He has worked on youth programs with a variety of organizations and luminaries including Mikhail Gorbachev, Jane Goodall and Desmond Tutu. David was Director of Grant Programs at Ayusa where he oversaw U.S. Department of State programs such as the Kennedy Lugar Youth Exchange and Study Program (YES), Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange Program (CBYX), the Future Leaders Exchange Program (FLEX), and the Mexico Youth Leadership Program (Jóvenes en Acción).
In 2012, David founded the TOMODACHI SoftBank Youth Leadership Program focused on victims of the Great Japanese Earthquake and Tsunami of 2011, which he continues to run today. David attended Oxford University and holds a California Teaching Credential.
