A study abroad experience can oftentimes be confused as a vacation abroad.  One of the most important aspects of a study abroad experience is for it to be authentic.  Authenticity can include visiting local food spots, trying new cuisine, using the public transport, and building local connections in order to have  a more culturally fulfilling experience. You will learn much more about a country by living authentically, while boosting your travel and local knowledge IQ.  

Studying overseas can bring about a whirlwind of emotions not only prior to departure and during your stay, but also afterward when returning home. No matter the amount of time you’ve been abroad, it’s important to reflect on your experiences and appreciate the life-changing moments you’ve had. 

The time has come to wrap up EdOdyssey’s study abroad month-long orientation in Lima Peru. During the past month, Sandra, Sarah, Grace, Citlalli, Jeniffer, Steve and Joe had opportunities to create friendships, familiarize themselves with how Peruvian Spanish differs from other countries in the region, and get to know Lima on their own! 

Rome, Italy is a study heaven for art, architecture, history, language, and film lovers. The entire city center is a UNESCO world heritage site, making it an incredible location to begin your educational journey.
